Superintendent Charlie Alderman
Charlie Alderman returned to Commerce, his hometown, as assistant superintendent in 2013. He was named superintendent in 2016. Prior to that, he was a high school principal at Sulphur Springs and Melissa. He began his teaching career in Terrell ISD teaching science. He has a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a master's from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
He and his wife Sarah have two children attending Commerce ISD.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Patricia Tremmel
Dr. Tremmel is a graduate of Commerce ISD and began her teaching career in 1996 at A.C.Williams Elementary School as a fifth grade teacher. Prior to her leadership in Commerce ISD, Dr. Tremmel served
in Garland ISD for 15 years years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, as well as Richardson ISD as Principal. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in English from East Texas State University (1996). She
earned a Master's degree in Educational Administration (1998) and a Doctor of Education in Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction, with an emphasis in Reading (2001) from Texas A&M University- Commerce. She earned a Superintendent's certificate in 2013.
